Led by Olympic bronze medalist Sergio Lopez, the Bolles coaching staff also includes former world record holder and Olympic gold medalist Martin Zubero, and former U.S. national champion and Olympian Jon Sakovich. The staff’s swimming pedigree is impressive, but it’s their passion for excellence in others that defines their coaching success.

 

In his short tenure at Bolles, Coach Lopez led the Bolles High School boys and girls teams each to state championship titles in 2007, including 5 individual championships, five championship relays, and two new school records. But it isn’t only the coaching staff that defines the Bolles swimming family. Far from it. The Bolles School Sharks swim team prides itself on being a place of diversity and inclusion. In addition to the swimmers from around the United States, Bolles is home to athletes from exotic places such as the Philippines, Mexico, the Bahamas, Denmark, Spain, Curacao, Israel and St. Lucia. Each swimmer brings their own story and degree of talent, but all come with the same passion and dedication to succeed
