The Bolles School Swim Camps 2008

The Place

The Bolles School itself is a sprawling 52 acre campus situated on the banks of the majestic St. Johns River. The scenic landscape is dotted by live oak trees draped in Spanish moss, manicured pathways, and plenty of places to sit down and enjoy watching the sun set across the river.

The campus is anchored by Bolles Hall, a recently restored building that contains classrooms, dormitories, and a cafeteria. Designed as a hotel, Bolles Hall maintains its original architecture, including a sweeping main hall which opens up to a beautiful colonnade ending near the banks of the St. Johns.

The aquatics complex is a short two minute walk from the dormitory. It includes: an eight-lane, 25 yard pool with a diving well; an eight-lane, 50 meter pool (which can be turned into a 19-lane, 25 yard pool); a fitness center; boys and girls locker rooms. The Bolles School football field, track, and another multi-purpose training field are all located just steps away from the aquatics complex, offering a wide variety of dry-land training options for Bolles swimmers.

Campers will live in Bolles Hall under 24 hour supervision. All of the dormitories are air conditioned. The dorm has an internet café/game room, complete with a pool table and a ping pong table. There will be daily activities for one-week campers. In the past those activities have included tubing on the river, laser tag, go-cart racing, movies, and scavenger hunts. All aspects of the Bolles School Swim Camps are designed to offer a fun, positive experience both in and out of the pool.
